So with this photoshoot, the image we wanted to portray was elegant, classy and timeless with a touch of edge. To suit the style we were moving towards, I used an incredible pleated scallop skirt by Gia Mattiolo, with and Aqua body suit for the first edgy look. To meet the elegance and timeless image for the second look, I used a Versace dress and teamed it with a Emporio Armani clutch.

With each style of make up, I wanted to portray different looks and emit different emotions. The pieces I chose for the shoot was a leather jacket and a geometric mini skirt. The leather jacket is a stereotypical representation of  “attitude”, this is exactly the emotion I wanted to bring out through strong body language. Stylistically, I wanted the photos with the skirt to be more sultry and alluring to the viewers, but didn’t want it to be too sexy. I styled the look with more of an Egyptian cat like look to make the shots visually interesting.

I love the playfulness that’s expressed through the alluring sex appeal in the women during the sixties. I also love how the pin up women of the sixties styled their hair artistically with such elegance and femininity.

For the shoot I wanted to express the ambience of the ‘girl next door’, whether it be naughty or nice I wanted to style the clothes/accessories to be filled with plenty of bright colours, girly prints and cute oversized bows. I wanted to bring out the youthful, fun and energetic feel from the sixties.
