Hi Everyone!!!

Through the past year that I’ve been blogging, taking outfit photos is not all glamorous as the photos depict.

Most of my outfit posts have been taken by my photographer boyfriend, Chin and as compatible as we are, there are still the rare days that we don’t see eye to eye with the imagery that we are trying to translate in our photos.

Apart from that, there are also the occasional moments of when I’m having a bad day and I just don’t feel like taking pictures of my gloomy self.

Then there are the days that I feel unsure of myself, the days that I’m feeling super insecure………….THE UGLY DAYS! You know what I’m talking about hahaha!

Well this is exactly what this post is ALL about :)

All the outfits that never made it on the blog for all the above reasons and for whatever reasons that made us not share it at the time…..… until now kekeke.

So to celebrate the year that has past, here are never before seen outfits (unedited) :)

P.S. sorry if I’m grumpy in some of them hahahaha, at least you’ll be able to tell, which photos I was having a bad day in.

Thanks for visiting I’ll see you guys in my next post :D

Hello :) !

Sorry I haven’t been up to date recently, I’ve been juggling everything along with the added preparations of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sydney next week.

Yup, I actually got my accreditation approved as a fashion blogger YAY!!! WOOT WOOT !!! So expect to see plenty of posts next week from me about Fashion Week Sydney kekekekeek!

As I said in my last post, March was the birthday month of Fashiondiction and we would be posting some special posts to celebrate. Since I’ve been a little bit behind, I’ll still be making up for it this week starting with this post. :)

I’ve said it before, writing is not exactly one of my strong suits but over time I’ve learnt a thing or to and slightly improved (I hope hahaha!). However, this hasn’t stopped me from wanting to post vlogs, it has always been on my to do list even from the very beginnings of Fashiondiction and since we made it to one year, I thought now was the best time to start.

Before we get into it, something you guys might not know about me is that before I blogged and immersed myself in fashion, singing and music was a massive part of my life. Coming from a family of singers (you know Filos, they can all sing hahahaha) at one time I was going to pursue my singing career but due to health and vocal issues I was stopped dead in my tracks. After almost 3 years of vocal, speech therapy and rehabilitation I have just started singing again.
This YouTube channel is literally 5 years in the making, if you are one of my long time close friends, you know exactly how long this has taken me to put up.

How it’s going to work is, along with my normal blog posts, starting from next Wednesday I’ll be posting every week. One week will be a Fashiondiction Vlog and the other week will be a cover song. EEEEK! A little nervous I’m not gonna lie.
At least this way it will keep me on track with trying to update you guys on a regular basis hehehe.

So to start it off here is the first Video, just a quick introduction about what I’m all about.

Hope you like it, if you do, support me and subscribe HAHAHAHA…. But seriously… subscribe.

Thanks for visiting and keep a look out for me this Thursday with a post you guys will not want to miss ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I can’t believe 2014 is here already and this is my first official outfit post for this year!

I’m going to back this up a little to 2012 (give you guys a bit of an insight on how Fashiondiction came about).
Things had taken a turn for the worst for me, which left me lost and confused with what I wanted to do in life.
Going overseas and talking a trip away to Hawaii, Vegas and New York, helped me regain focus, gain my determination back and ignited my passion for life. I was determined to go into 2013 headstrong with no fear and with everything I had.

After 2 years of procrastinating, thinking about starting my own blog, I finally decided to go for it.
I stopped worrying and started planning, I stopped talking and started doing. I was determined to get what I didn’t get from the previous years, which was self-belief.

Since then, it has helped me learn more about myself, open doors for different opportunities, meet some incredible people and most importantly ignited my love for fashion, which made me start my education for a Bachelor in Fashion Marketing.
It’s ironic that the thing I had put off for years (fashion blogging) was the one thing that had opened so many doors and helped me grow into a better version of myself.

The frequent question that had been asked leading into 2014 was “What have you accomplished this year?” and for once I was happy to say “Everything I wanted to”. All the many new years resolutions I had set out in 2013 starting from my health, diet and exercise to my goals and education, I had crossed everything off the list.

The difference of 2013 to the many years before it, was that I didn’t wait for opportunities I looked for it, I took risks, made sacrifices and through the panic attacks, sleepless nights and tears it was all worth it.

2014 is no exception, this year I am going in even more determined then before, leaving nothing to waste or chance. Gone are the years that I procrastinated, wasted time and regret what I didn’t accomplish and blamed everyone but myself.

Lets all make 2014 bigger and better then the last!

What’s are your hopes, aspirations and new years resolutions for 2014 :)?

If you remember Last Month on the blog, Ixiah, an unbelievable label released their Resort 13-14 summer collection.

For those of you who have just tuned in; Ixiah is a label I came across for the first time at Fashion Weekend and immediately fell in love with the unique, intricate and gorgeous designs from designer Krystel Davis.

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to their very own store launch at level 1 Mid City Centre, Pitt St. in Sydney. I was so excited for the event, I couldn’t wait to see the collection up close and personal, plus I had my eye on this stunning Aztec print maxi dress hehehe.

The set up was incredible! From the layered necklaces and neckpieces to the simplest strand on a garment, the pieces on the mirrored manikins were styled to absolute perfection. There is so much personality and difference in the designs of the collection and it was so beautifully translated through the layout of the store. The staff was so kind and welcoming, already a handful of people at the event were trying on pieces from the collection.

I also got to meet the designer behind the label, the incredibly talented Krystel Davis. I had spent the night trying to work up the courage to speak to her. Chin (partner/photographer) was so surprised, he said “You’ve never been like this before” and he was right! Usually I just go for it, however, this time I came down with a case of being starstuck. Just before I left I finally snuck in a somewhat nervous conversation, she was gorgeous, amazing and so sweet!

The collection will only be temporarily open to the public at their pop up store in level 1 Mid City Centre, Pitt St. in Sydney. So as soon as I get my Christmas shopping out of the way I will be back with a vengeance and shop to my hearts content.

Here are some snaps from the event:

Spotted Crystal Ling from Reebonz, I was so happy to run into a familiar face :)

The models were amazingly styled, they seriously looked like amazons, and as usual  I look tiny next to them hehehe.

Ixiah_opening_05With the designer Krystel Davis, she looked absolutely stunning in her very own designs. I especially loved how the necklaces were layered and used as an accessory over her heels…..amazing.

Thank you again for stopping by and stay tuned on my next outfit post ;)

Have a good weekend!

There I was having second thoughts feeling a little vulnerable about posting my personal and private thoughts.

But Wow, thank you so much for all your kind words and support from my earlier post. It is really comforting to know that I’m not the only one that struggles to post consistently, with so many any other commitments that get in the way. So thank you again :)

It has been a while since I’ve posted an outfit and even though I’m still really excited to share the runway shows I attended at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival. I think it’s time to spice things up and bring out some of the outfits that I’ve been wearing since then.

It’s the second week back to college; sitting through lectures can be tiring and at times very uncomfortable. Because of this, I find myself wearing more casual, chilled and comfortable clothing to keep me going through the day.

A big trend that I have fallen in love with is the football jersey. It is so cute and you can wear it almost anywhere by dressing it down or up by paring it with heels and a skirt. I actually found this jersey in the Topman while I was looking for something for my boyfriend. Even though it’s made for men, I thought it was a good steal because of how comfortable it is due to it’s baggy make. Another plus is that both me and boyfriend Chin can wear it, you know what they say “sharing is caring” hehehe :)

What do you wear that’s comfortable and gets you through your day?

When your working part time, studying full time, maintaining a relationship and a social life, finding time to commit to your passion can be difficult.

Since I began the commitment to start blogging as a hobby it has not been an easy journey. For less than a year it has unexpectedly made me learn so much about myself. I have been confronted by my bad habits and my overly emotional state since I immersed myself in the blogosphere.

Hearing feedback from your peers and the public can be at times difficult to say the least.

Especially in the stressful month of October, which had left a wake of sleepless nights, breakdowns and the temptation to give up. I had found myself drained, burnt out, emotionally and mentally exhausted. Out of everything that I found challenging, it was me, that I was the biggest challenge to overcome.

Besides everything that gets in the way to continue blogging, I realize all the opportunities that have come with it, all the amazing things I have taken from it and the daily inspiration that I can’t seem to find anywhere else.

I just thought I would share a little bit of my personal thoughts and experiences with you. To give you an update of what’s been happening with me since it has been such a long time since I’ve posted.

After the past couple of months, I feel like the worst is over and on a brighter note I’ll be posting an outfit post tonight… YAY FINALLY!

I honestly appreciate all the fashion bloggers and bloggers out there that have other commitments but still find the time to commit to your hobbies and passion that is blogging.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for tonight’s outfit post.

In the mean time here’s a sneak peak :P

Hello! Long time no post!

Sorry everyone! I know it’s been a whole week since I’ve posted compared to my usual 3 times a week update.

Last week was so crazy for me; I had assessments due, end of month deadline for work and a farewell. Not to mention Sydney Fashion Weekend and the first bridal photoshoot I’ve ever styled happened the week before.

Yeah, I was slightly overwhelmed but the good news is I have so much to update you on! Starting with SYDNEY FASHION WEEKEND!

Sydney Fashion Weekend is all about YOU! The shopaholics! They have everything a girl could want, great shopping at affordable prices, bubbly to share with the girls and a fashion show spread over four days; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Me and Camille Sioco (www.frillyskirts.net) represented WhatIWear.com and Fashion blogger Jess Tuong came too representing her blog (www.mindbodyshop.com).

It was awesome, we got media passes for all access, totally the best!

This is the first time I’ve ever been so I had no idea what to expect. The moment we walked in, it was designer pop up shops everywhere…. It was like I had died and gone to fashion heaven!

Here’s a little taste of what Sydney Fashion Weekend was like.

Stay tuned this week to see photos of the fashion show, snaps of some stylish designers and people. I will also be giving you the inside scoop on the best day to go for discounts on designer clothes so don’t miss out!

Thanks for visiting :)
