Football Jersey Top – Asos/River Island | Skorts – Zara | Heels – Glue

Hello!!! :)

Sporty Chic is a common and popular trend that 2014 has adopted so well.
We have seen it on the runways, the red carpet and more commonly though street fashion. It is a trend that I have welcomed with open arms and am more than willing to continue embracing, indulging in all that blissful comfort.
The trend involves combining sportswear or a fashionable adaptation, with everyday fashion items and clothing. It is identified more commonly as a mix of sportswear teamed with feminine clothing and items.Just think of a baggie hoodie worn with boyfriend jeans, high heels and you favourite tote.

For those of you who have followed me from the start, you are no stranger to the fact that I grew up as a bit of a tomboy. Till this day, I find comfort in wearing my boyfriend, Chin’s baggy shirts, t-shirts and jackets, making this one of the reasons why I love this trend.

Being a typical girl, it’s that occasional indecisiveness when it comes to particular fashion choices that I hate so much. All you girls can back me up on this one, am I right? HAHAHA! You know what I’m talking about, the days that you draw a complete blank, staring into your closet with no idea what to wear.

I decided to post up this outfit in particular because it is on my re-wear/recycle list. It can be worn on a casual day out, teamed with a pair of sneakers and worn right into the night, simply just by switching to heels. Plus did I mention how amazing skorts are, I mean shorts and a skirt into one… BEST THING EVER!!!

These photos are apart of a collaboration I did with a photographer called Toàn Tran, he was also the technical talent behind my previous outfit post “Missing Summer”. I’ve been so excited about sharing the collaboration with you all because he did such an amazing job. Stay tuned, we have one more outfit post from our collaboration, so keep a look out for it ;)

Thanks for visiting and I’ll see you all soon with another post :)

I’ve been seeing these tops, shirts and crops around everywhere, on blogs, celebrities, even on catwalks.  Though I wasn’t into it first, the style has really grown on me and now I just can’t stop the urge from purchasing every top I see.

Speaking of which, I bought one just today in Topman. It’s made for men but hey, the baggier the better.

Something about women wearing men’s sports shirts shouts sexy, plus I’m sure it’s everyman’s fantasy.

Personally I love this new trend because you can wear it casually and dress it up with some pumps. Not to mention that it is super comfortable, I’ve got to admit I’ve been converted.

This is definitely a style that I’ll be rocking throughout 2013, so keep an eye out for my outfit posts.

Do you love it or hate it?

Shirt – Zara Man |  Dress – Glassons  |  Leather Boots – Converse |  Hat – Tempt

The famous 90s grunge look is back, painted all over the fashion runways with plaid checkered shirts and dresses. One celebrity that wears the 90s look so well is Rita Ora. Her signature blonde hair and red lips in contrast to her olive skin is spreading like wild fire and any girl that can pull this look off, I take my hats off to.

I for one, have never fancied the whole grunge look. My world of lollipops for trees, marshmallows for clouds, unicorns for horses, usually attracts me to bright colors and girly prints. Now, even I have succumbed to the checkerboard plaid shirts and Converse shoes.

This look is trending more this season because you have the freedom to mix feminine pieces with masculine pieces of clothing. For me, I find that this gives me a happy medium. I can please the tomboy in me whilst keeping my style feminine and girly. It also allows you to personalise this trend to suit your own style.

To make this look work for you, these are essential pieces to stock in your wardrobe:

- Army colours, camouflage prints and parka jackets

- Earthy tones

- Ripped jeans and frayed items

- Doc martins or simple converse shoes

This outfit was my interpretation of the 90s grunge look. Still keeping it feminine, I wore a knitted pattern dress from Glassons and a white singlet dress underneath. Covering up with my boyfriend’s plaid shirt unbuttoned (I finally have an excuse to wear my boyfriend’s shirt, when I told him to buy it, secretly it was really for me :)). To give it a real 90s feel, I wore my leather converse boots and for a pop of colour, I wore my MAC Ruby Woo lippy.

This outfit was super comfortable and fun, I’m definitely going to be rocking more of the 90s grunge look this year.

What do you think about the 90s grunge trend?
