Spring has always been my favourite season of the year, besides the fact that it falls on my birthday. It is the warming feeling of the sun, the cooling breeze of the air and most importantly, the colours of the rainbow painted across fields of green that gets me every time.
As most things, however, there are negatives, one of which is hay fever……Oh that dreaded hay fever !!! I’m not just talking about getting little sniffles here and there, I’m talking about the whole shebang: itchy mouth, inflamed red eyes, constant sneezing and nose running like a tap. Yup, if you ever see me in Spring, expect the worst, I am by no means at my best hahahahaha!
Whatever the case, I freaking love spring! Call me a romantic or just plain cheesy, I always saw Spring as a time for new beginnings, I get the sudden spark of inspiration and drive.

I also noticed that my direction in clothing quickly changes. The urge of wearing pants, suddenly changes to shorts, my choices of black and white quickly turns to bright colours and the constant want to wear skirts/dresses is at an all time high.
One type of clothing in particular that I subconsciously keep taking out for a spin, is this oversized floral print midi skirt. Nothing in my wardrobe shouts Spring more than this little number.
Since the weather is currently in-between hot and cold, I find I can never go wrong with this choice. The over the knee length and thick material provides the right balance, accommodating both cool and warm weather.
Because of its bight colourful aesthetic, I find it easier to wear it with basic black and white, just like in this outfit post. However, on days I’m feeling extra confident, I style it with contrasting colours as well as mixing it up with different patterns.
I do need to admit, that the only downside to this skirt is the fact that it is so distinctive, which limits the number of times I can wear it without being to repetitious. In all honesty, however, I am proud about being a serial wardrobe repeat, just as long as there are slight changes to accessories, tops and bottoms. I’m sure I don’t need to give you a heads up that this isn’t the last time you’ll be seeing this skirt HAHAHAHA!

What is your current favourite item of clothing in your wardrobe? Feel free to share in the comment box below.

Thank you for visiting and I’ll see you soon with another post :)

In September, I attended an event for the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, DFS. The “First Class Beauty” event was held at the Galleria in Sydney on George Street. It was an exclusive global event, which also took place in five international airports and 14 Galleria stores across nine countries including Hawaii, Hong Kong and Los Angeles etc.

“First Class Beauty by DFS was created to offer customers a one-of-a-kind experience inspired by travel. The program highlights DFS’ unique offerings of luxury beauty products across cosmetics, skincare and fragrances, exceptional range of services and delightful in-store experiences.”

At the event, after being greeted at the door by the PR agency Blue Planet, we were kindly escorted through the surprising number of levels of DFS, accommodating everything travel. We reached the top level and were served with Moet in what I would call a golden goblet, perfectly paired with delicious canapés overlooking a very stunning view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

It was a completely different experience to the fashion events I had attended in the past; since its focus was purely on luxury beauty. Something in all honestly, I am not so familiar with. If you were to ask me about any high-class beauty products or the places to go to purchase these products, I wouldn’t even know where to start (this is the inner tomboy in me talking).
However, attending this event was a big eye opener, I was introduced to a large range of high-end beauty products such as La Mer and La Prairie. The products were applied through hand and arm massages, along with skin consultations, we were informed about the natural ingredients used and the proper application for the products to achieve the best results.

Not only did they impress with the beauty products on offer, to celebrate the event, they had a photo-booth, which me and Chin had so much fun in.

They also offered us a customised travel journal with our names written in calligraphy to celebrate their DFS Fall/Winter 2014 Campaign by T Galleria. Check out their video below featuring Micheal Kors.

The DFS staff were incredibly nice and so lovely to get along with, in my conversations with each different staff member, it was clear to see that they all shared a family bond, most of them had worked for DFS for more than 3 years. A bond which was very clearly translated through their customer service, that was nothing short of high end luxury.

Just through this experience alone, it took me back to when I a child, curiously watching my mother apply her face creams and moisturisers. I started to reminisce of my travel overseas with my family; my mother and father would dress me head to toe in my best clothes and them in theirs. It was a formal event, they saw it as a special occasion, almost as a celebration, my mother especially, would not be able to contain her excitement walking into the duty free store, I remember her absolutely going crazy with all the beauty products on display. This is exactly the type of nostalgia DFS brings back to travelling and shopping; “seeing the word through the travellers touch, inspired by curiosity, the invitation to dream, a promise to delight and the legacy of adventure”.

I have travelled a fair bit, whether it be interstate or overseas, it is nice to be reminded about what travelling is all about.

I’ll let you in on a little secret, after the event, I had tried La Mer and now, I am absolutely hooked! For someone who previously could care less about the product used on their face, I am now looking to invest on the care of my skin. After using the products, my skin has never been better, no foundation required, I absolutely swear by it!

So I’m sure you can guess what I’ll be doing within a months time when I travel to Philippines Boracay? Yup, I’ll be treating me to some of that DFS duty free first class beauty hahahaha!
For those of you who aren’t planning to travel soon, you can show an international ticket travelling within 3 months time. You can also head to the nearest DFS Galleria, where you don’t have a time limit on your shopping experience and you can enjoy your retail therapy with less stress.

Just a bit of a special treat, I came across one of my favourite bloggers Nicole Warne from Gary Pepper Vintage, sharing beauty tips about her trips featured on the DFS website, click HERE to check it out.

Thanks so much for visiting again and I’ll see you tomorrow with another outfit post :)

Hello Hello!

So glad to share another outfit post with you all, especially an outfit that includes my love of vintage clothing.
I know I haven’t been as frequent with my posts for the past 2 months but for me, it was a much-needed break. It’s that time of the year when everything falls quickly and so heavily from the preparations of Christmas and the lead up to the summer break. Priorities pile up, the list of ‘things to do’ becomes never ending and the pressures of work and college start to weigh heavily. Worst of all, your negative subconscious starts tempting you to drop everything and give up amidst the pressures of life.
This is something that I am more than familiar with because I have experienced this time and time again.
Before things had become more than overwhelming, I made sure to remove myself from the situation, just for a couple of weeks to adjust. Taking preventive measures to prepare for the stress to come.

Now I’m back in the blogosphere, charged up and ready to go! Currently prioritising business meetings and the importance of taking on quality and not quantity, which is a mistake that I’ve made several times.

To start us off, some you may recognise this fluffy jumper from one of the outfits I wore to fashion week. Well, since then, this vintage gem has kept me not only comfortable but also warm in the coldest of weathers. I found this treasure at a Salvation Army store in the city for just $50 and I haven’t parted ways with it since. I think I’m even in denial that the weather is warming up because even in the warmest of days I find myself wanting to put it on ahahahaha!
I have always loved vintage clothing and it is a perfect fit for someone like me, a student, shopping with cost limitations, however, purchasing clothes without jeopardising the quality and aesthetic.
To create visual depth and compliment it’s vocal point, I wore it with black disco pants and mustard socks against white boots. I could of easily kept it simple with just back and white but to be honest, it’s not me without that little bit of colour hehehe.

To make up for my previous lack of contact, I’ll be posting more frequently within the coming weeks letting you in on all the things I’ve been up to :P

Thanks for visiting and I’ll catch you later this week

Hey Everyone

Sorry I haven’t been in touch for some time, the September and October rollercoaster took me by surprise and I’ve only been able to catch a breath now.

Before I get into the details about my time away from the blogosphere, I wanted to share my first collaboration with the one and only Camille Sioco from Frilly Skirts. I consider Camille as one of my close friends so when she approached me for a collaboration, I was more than excited that she even thought of me, she has been in the game for 5 years and is one of the most successful bloggers I know, so you can imagine my excitement.

Camille has been my biggest support within the blogger community, we met almost 2 years ago, at a time when I had just started blogging and had no idea what I was doing. We immediately became great friends and have been in touch ever since, it helps that she lives just up the road. Even our boyfriends/photographers; Ramon and Chin, have developed their own bromance hahahaha!

But in all seriousness, I have learnt so much from her; especially learning how to stay true to yourself and keeping your own identity as a blogger, which is one of the hardest things I’ve come across as a fashion blogger.
I have never met anyone quite like her; the MOST organized person I know, down to earth and a personality with so much depth that constantly surprises. Such a big contrast to me, however, just an example – she posted this 2 weeks ago and here I am just only getting myself organized hehehehe :P !

On the day, we had brunch at Paper Planes Café, where I unfortunately missed out on a mean breakfast. I had a tad much to drink the night before at a birthday party ….. (sigh) yup, I hated myself, that breakfast looked soooo good.
We ended hanging out at a really nice memorial park where we shared some great laughs, mostly about how awkward we felt with two cameras (Ramon’s and Chin’s) on us at the same time. I kept pulling faces (it’s a thing I do when I feel awkward, if you haven’t already noticed) and poor Ramon had to deal with directing me when I was being silly for most of the shoot … hahaha, sorry Ramon.

Since I had recently sprained my ankle, I had to stick to sneakers, which I teamed with my signature disco pants and one of my favourite cardigans, as usual, I looked like a walking rainbow hahaha!.
Camille rocked the 80s with a plaid shirt tied around her waist, with a simple printed shirt and leather pants perfectly accessorized. This girl can rock any look I swear, I loved this outfit on her especially, such a great contrast to her signature feminine frilly skirt aesthetic.

Check out more about our collaboration and her outfit on her blog www.frillyskirts.net

I’ll be posting more details about my outfit on this day within the week so keep a look out.

Hope everyone is having an amazing start to the week!
I’m currently taking some much-needed time away in Melbourne YAY!!!!
I’ll be posting up everything I’ve been up for the past 2 months and my trip to Melbourne within the coming weeks so stay tuned.

Thank you for visiting!!!

Melbourne has always been one of my favourite places in Australia, the music, the people, the cute little alleyways, the fashion, the culture and THE FOOD!!! Oh don’t even get me started about the food!!!
I have only been there twice and both times I absolutely loved it!!!

For the longest time Melbourne was one of the few places I considered moving to. I always imagined moving there for my studies but obviously priorities and goals change over time and lets not forget having to consider the other half as well as the fam bam. Even still, it has never been far from my mind to possibly make the bold move. Until then, I’m more than happy to make excuses to continually visit :P

So with my home away from home in mind, I thought I would share a couple of fun snaps from mine and Chin’s trip there. I’ve also decided to go there again after my birthday in October YAY!!!

Since Melbourne’s weather has four seasons in a day, I found it fun playing dress up to cater to the crazy weather – Coat one day and dress the next. Walking around and exploring, we were definitely getting our tourist on, it was only fitting to choose comfort as the way to go. This meant sneakers, free flowing skirts, soft cotton and stretchy fabrics making winning combinations.

Thanks for visiting !!!

I’ll see you on Saturday with another outfit post :D

Cherry Blossom Baseball Jersey – 10 DEEP | Clutch – Armanie Exchange | Boots – ZU Shoes

Photos by Yunn Chin Photography

Hello everyone!!!

It’s that time again and I’ve been DYING to share this outfit with you!!!

Earlier this year, Chin and I went for a little trip to Melbourne, it was there where I had my first experience entering into a Culture Kings store. After taking my first step into what I would now call complete “Street Style” bliss, I quickly realised what the rave was all about.

The store’s main target market are males and with only a hand full of items available for women, however, I still saw it as a gold mine of unisex street clothing. Everything I laid my eyes on I wanted! It was there I came across this 10 Deep cherry blossom baseball jersey. I’m gonna be honest with you, for me (since I am a complete tight ass with money – student life -.-‘) it was pricey, $130 to be exact. I couldn’t help myself! the WANT was far too great to resist and in my defence I only fork out on things that I so desperately desire. Plus it fit Chin perfectly and he really liked it too so I looked at it as purchasing something for me and him hehehehe.

Since the shirt is so distinct, it is unfortunately an item that can be noticeably re-worn but honestly, I love it that much that I will wear the crap out of it and not give a damn hahahaha!

I ended up sporting this number at fashion week, I first thought it was a bit too riskay wearing it as a dress (don’t worry I wore shorts underneath!!! hahaha) but I thought “What the hell, it’s Fashion Week, might as just do me” and what do you know, it was featured on Getty Images and Zimbio.com :).

Thanks again for visiting!!! It’s always a pleasure to have you and I’ll catch up with you girls and guys soon.

I’m so glad I’m finally on holidays and relieved from assessments, along with stress from work due to the end of financial year. I can finally unwind, relax and catch up on my much loved blogging!!!

Staring with the Wish Style Challenge event I had the honour of attending late last month. With Wish releasing their amazing winter collection, a competition called Winter in The City was held by the clothing label early May. With the support of Honda Australia, the challenge was to style a piece of the Wish winter collection in your own way.

With some of Australia’s best up and coming fashion bloggers taking part, the calibre of entries were simply sublime. I was so happy to attend the event held in such an amazing venue with canapés and frequent flowing drinks (hahaha I can never complain when 2 of my vices have been

answered). wish 6 Bloggers from all over Australia in Perth Canberra and Melbourne attended to celebrate the event and the atmosphere was so eccentric leading up to the announcement of the winner, the prize being a HONDA CITY…. SAY WHAT?!!! 10368427_738885012821804_1858363298950906048_n Out of the many who entered, the 3 carefully selected finalists styling such stunning looks were: Angeline from Lovethread wish love thred Charlotte from Winston and Willow wish winston and willow Kiara from  Lion in The Wild wish lion in the wild Kiara King was announced the winner taking home the Honda City. WOOT WOOT!!! wish 3wish 4 I have never really been to such a big event with so many talent and amazing bloggers, it can be a super intimidating experience and if you know me personally you know how awkward I get hahaha! I’m so glad I had Camille from from Frilly Skirts there, since we met the first time last year at another event, I’ve spent time with her and her incredibly talented photographer/blogger boyfriend Ramon and now I see them both as my really dear friends. wish 2 It was such a fun night and I am so grateful to Wish for organising an incredible event. Everyone was so nice and friendly, there was even a small dance floor; I was dropping it like it was hot all night, Hahahaha! not really but it was still super fun to get our dance on! This is why I love going to these events and meeting people that share the same interests and experiences, it is something I truly appreciate about the blogging world and the blogging community. I can’t wait for the next Wish Style Challenge!!! Thanks for visiting !! I’ll see you soon with another event post ;) wish 5 Sharon Jiang from Primed and Primed, Carmen Cheung, Jocelyn Nguyen  Wish-7 Sharon Jiang, Samantha Stroud from Style by KYS and Camille from Frilly Skirts Wish-8
